Ingredients:

• 2 cups of Katdare Idli Peeth
• 1 cup of urad dal
• Water as required
• Salt as required
• Oil or ghee (clarified butter)

Recipe:

1. Wash and soak 1 cup of urad dal in water for 4-5 hours.
2. In a separate bowl, rinse and soak 2 cups of Katdare Idli Peeth in water for 4-5 hours.
3. Grind the urad dal in a wet grinder or mixer grinder to a smooth and fluffy consistency, gradually adding water as required.
4. Transfer the urad dal batter to a bowl.
5. Similarly, grind the soaked Katdare Idli Peeth to a smooth batter, adding water gradually as needed.
6. Combine the idli batter with the urad dal batter and add salt to taste. Mix well and let it ferment overnight or for at least 6-8 hours in a warm place.
7. Grease the idli plates with oil or ghee.

9. Place the idli plates in a steamer and steam for 10-15 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center of an idli comes out clean.
